Technical Requirements & Room Setup

Optimized for High-Fidelity Learning

At Subito, we don’t just hire instructors; we partner with professional performers and dedicated educators who believe in the power of live, structured learning.

The Essential Gear

Stable Connection

Stable Connection

A high-speed internet connection is required. For the best stability, we recommend using a hardwired Ethernet connection rather than Wi-Fi.

Audio Equipment

Audio Equipment

To hear every nuance, headphones are essential for preventing echo. For music students, we highly recommend an external USB Microphone for superior sound capture.

Mastering Your Zoom Setup

"Original Sound for Musicians" (Crucial for Music) To prevent Zoom from "clipping" your instrument's sound, you must enable Original Sound for Musicians in your settings.

  • Open Zoom Settings > Audio.
  • Select "Original Sound for Musicians."
  • Check the box for "High-fidelity music mode."
  • Uncheck "Echo cancellation" (if you are using headphones).

Sharing Sound If you need to play background tracks or music from your device:

  • Click Share Screen > Select the Advanced tab.
  • Choose Computer Audio and ensure Share Sound is toggled on.

Optimal Environment

Lighting & Atmosphere

  • Front-Facing Light: Ensure your light source is in front of you. Avoid sitting with a bright window directly behind you, as this creates a silhouette.
  • Quiet Space: Choose a room free from background noise (fans, pets, or appliances) to ensure your microphone picks up only your performance.
  • Ergonomics: Use a chair that allows for proper posture while playing your instrument and place your device at eye level.
